Kampina

We walked one of our favorites again: the white trail on the "Kampina".

Another nice walk on the Kampina

Last week we walked on the south side part of the Kampina, now we are going to the north side.
The "corn" is growing.....






And attracts many kinds of insects, like this special kind of libelle.







This is one of the many ponds that are on the Kampina.....it is filled with "waterlelies".







These ponds attract many animals like this land-frog.








And this geese couple...








You also see many kinds of butterflies....like this one.








And this "dagpauwoog" butterfly.











You also see many kinds of different trees, like these.











And these big ones. If it rains you can stand under them and you don't get wet (at least, with not very big rain...)







Here's a seagull wathing the perimeter.....







Here are some wild cows........The rangers say you have to watch out for them, they are really "wild" animals.

Nice walk on the Kampina

Yesterday we walked on the Kampina, one of my favorite nature parks.

This grass grows a lot on the Kampina






Here are some old dead trees lying around, it is a 4 star "Hotel" for all kinds of small animals and insects....






Here's the small river "Beerze". Natuurmonumenten created many small waterfalls for the fish....






And here's a "waterjuffer" enjoying the sun....







And here there is a blackbird mother with some food for her children. After a while she noticed that I was taking pictures, she heard the camera!





And here's a cow............she really wanted to be on the photo because she stood still completely studying me....
