Big grasshopper

Yesterday I discovered a big grasshopper in our garden. I didn't see at once, because it had the same color as the leaf where it was sitting on. My girlfriend discovered it.

From the looks of the evening sky we are getting a little bit less warm weather.

This is the way we used to land on the old airport of Hong Kong (Kai Tak) before the new one (Chep lap Kok) was finished. Always very very special, one of the most unique landings.

Was very, very nice. Easy and fast to make and with very good taste. First had to make a mix of "herbes de provence" but after looking at the mix-recipe (found on internet) I saw that I already had all the necessary herbs for making the mix. Thanks to Onno Kleyn for the recipe: check out his blog, it is in my links. It contains many good recipes.

Waterdrinking break in Ommen

Here I'm standing at castle Eerde during my water-drinking break. Very hot day, about 35 degrees. But very nice trip. Especially the nice road from Holten to Nijverdal over the holtermountain was beautiful. After Holten I also saw the Lemelermountain. Very nice the "salland" route.

Our new rabbit: Snoopy

This is our new rabbit, Snoopy. He is still a little bit naughty and likes to eat many plants in our garden.

Echinacea in our garden

The echinacea plant in our garden has a very nice flower. Echinacea is the plant where they make the dr. Vogel Echinaforce medicine from. It is a plant that can cure many deseases, helps good against infections and builds up more "resistance" in the body against illness. It was discovered by dr. A. Vogel when he lived together with indians in the united states.

Marion passed her theory test!

Yes! Marion passed her theory test for her motorcycle driving license today! Now she still has to do the motorcycle handling test and the traffic driving test.

Got the workshop manual for Marions new bike!

Also got the XJ600s diversion manual I bought on the internet 2nd hand. After checking some chapters it is clear that it is an easy bike to work on. Not so hi-tech and complex as the VFR.

New "slof" for the VFR

Got a new BT020 "slof" for the VFR, the old one was completely worn to threads!

RK closed down completely: now first a Dommelsch

The RK factory is closed down completely. Now it's time for a nice, cold beer. In my case: Dommelsch (our local brand).

It is very very hot

Yesterday evening was very hot in the garden. 35 degrees!

Extra passenger: grasshopper

Yesterday I went home after work on my bike, and when I took off my coat I discovered that I took an extra passenger with me: a grasshopper! Look carefully, it is sitting in the left top corner.

Almost ready: last view of RK before closing down

RK factory is almost closed down completely. Only the pickup of one Garbage container from v. Gansewinkel and one from the "metal recycling man" remain. This afternoon the forklifts will be picked up and I found a guy that wants the old pallets.

BBQ with the people from the dancing school

Some people needed a tow after a nice BBQ with much meat and beer yesterday in the Linbergpark, Molenschot. Look at the big rope that Jan is tying to his bike.

Marions new bike

Marion got her new bike, but actually it will be delivered on 1st of october because she still has to get her driving license for it.

Last year I entered a cooking contest, did'nt hear anything about it since, but still they posted my fast and tasteful recipe on their website.

Closing down the RK factory in Eindhoven

Today, we are finally trying to close down the factory, but after trying to bring a lot of cupper wires to the top of the new building the elevator doesn't want to get our forklift down!
So it is stuck now at the top floor. Called Schindler, hopefully they can bypass the alarm to get our forklift down again!
