Brands kiln

Today we put the thyristor control panel on the kiln platform. Was not very easy. Downstairs you see Arek directing his people during the lift-maneuver.

Pila

The town of Pila is not too bad, many restaurants, quality is average-good. Hotel is also ok, including the breakfast buffet in the morning. The people in the factory are skilled and helpful.
Here is a view outside the hotel, far away you see the church that wakes me every morning at 600hrs with it's loud bell.

Trip to Pila Poland

The strange thing about Pila is that it is "Polish" but with some very thin German sauce. It is not pure Polish as our factory in Skierniewice.
This is the Avro plane that flew me from Brussels to Munich, from there with a Bombardier turboprop to Poznan. What was really nice were the alps when the plane left from Munich airport. You could see them very well.

Many things to arrange for the wedding.........

Last weekends were very busy for us. Last weekend we visited the preacher that is going to marry us. And this weekend we visited Marions former dancing teacher, she's going to play the music on our wedding party. So busybusy. I applied last week for my birth certificate in Eindhoven where I was born, but got the one of my nephew by mistake. On friday I finally got the good one in my mail!

75th year anniversary of our dancing school

Here we are at the 75th year anniversary of our dancing school. I'm feeling a little bit better, but now I think I gave the virus I had this week to Marion. We didn't dance much this evening, but there was a lot to see. Like the couple in the youtube clip below, Euvgenia Parakhina and her partner Peter Bosveld, multiple dutch champion......and 7th on the world championship. It was very crowded, but sometimes I could catch a glimp of them with my camera........

Gig in "De Klomp" Etten Leur

Yesterday we played a gig in music cafe "De Klomp" in Etten Leur.

Here we are trying to fit all the stuff on the small stage.

And our lady singer has her usual "schrobbeler" before she starts to sing.

Back from Hong Kong

Finally, after a delay of 5 hours, the Jumbo arrived from Holland in Hong Kong, this was because of the storm in Holland.

Camera shops in Kowloon

Pieter tries to buy a Tokina lens, they don't have, but they will get it and we have to wait for it (at least, that's what we think). I show interest in a german standard 35mm camera. First the guy asks 9800HKD, then he drops to 7800HKD and starts to talk and talk. Then he asks me what I want to pay, I say 50euro, he say: ok, 100 euro. Then I say no. After that his boss goes berserk and starts to argue with me that this was not polite and shit. I don't care and try to convince him that it is the risk of his business. After a while he stops shouting and says: 500 euro or leave. I ask when the Tokina lens is coming and he says: he did not get because he was waiting. Then we leave angry..........they can screw themselves next time, not us! He really wanted to get rid of that old type 35mm analog camera.............and failed again against the Dutch.

Working at the sorting machine

Here we are working on the sorting machine. Judging from his laughing face Bert is very happy with it. You can just see mee peeping through the hole while adjusting the machine.

Here we are making the final adjustments

The foot massage!

This evening we went to the foot massage. Afterwards we had some tea.

At the foot massage they already put the christmas tree for next year

Long underpants

Bert spotted some long underpants at the dormitory!

Heavy loaded motorcycle!

On our way to the factory we spotted a very heavy loaded motorcycle, probably with many bags of rice. Look closely

Driving back from Zhuhai to Qingxi

Here's the taxi driver that drove me back from Zhuhai to Qingxi, it's a drive of about 2-3 hours, and he didn't know the roads very well.
He was all the time chatting with his CB radio. Funny guy!

Here's the "famous" Zhuhai Fisher Woman. Was difficult to photograph because the driver was going 100 where he was allowed to go 60.

A Chinese truck "on the road".

They carry "fat loads" these Chinese trucks.

Trip to Zhuhai

Today I went to Zhuhai to give a presentation at another customer of ours. Nice holiday-hotel, you can sit on the beach in the sun with a cold glass of beer! This is not bad.
